Styling with Justina Blakeney Part II

17 abr 2013

The other day I showed you the first projects for the Interior Styling course: my sofa and the coffee table. Today it's time for the console and bed.

The table we use as a console it's a table a distant aunt of my boyfriend used to have in her house for a long time. We brought it in to strip it and repaint it in a different color, but for now that's still just a plan... We also brought in those mirrors from the same house. As you see that I tried to bright it up a bit because the table is too serious. I think a fabric with a nice pattern might be work but I didn't have anything on hand...

As for the second project, our bedroom is a quite small space which opens into the living room with a curtain and into the studio area with a beautiful wood bookcase (next project) so despite its size it's a space with lots of light and doesn't feel claustrophobic. I didn't want to change a lot since I already loved the before but then I found those amazing 60s Swedish cushions and although I'll place them on the sofa i've used them on the bed for this project.
